HBCU Initiative Scholarship at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, USA 2024-25

The HBCU Initiative Scholarship at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) is a great chance for students. It helps students from states without an HBCU (Historically Black College and University) go to UMES for less money. This means if you live in a state like Arizona or Maine, you can pay the same as someone from Maryland. It’s a big help for students who want to study at UMES and save money.

This scholarship is new and starts in the fall of 2024. It’s for students who are just starting at UMES. This includes first-time freshmen and transfer students. If you’re one of these students, you’ll find out if you can get this scholarship when you get your acceptance letter. It’s a good way to make college more affordable.

A Background

UMES started this scholarship to help more students come to their school. They want students from all over the U.S. to have the chance to study at an HBCU. This scholarship makes it easier because it costs less. UMES is a school that cares about history and culture. They want students to learn about these things and more.

The scholarship is only for new students starting in the fall of 2024. If you’re already at UMES, this scholarship isn’t for you. But if you’re thinking about going to UMES and you’re from a state without an HBCU, this could be a big help. It’s a way for UMES to welcome more students and make sure they can afford a good education.
