Imagine not having to worry about your school costs or where you’ll live while studying. That’s what the MOFCOM Scholarship offers. Plus, you’ll get to meet students from all over the world and learn in a place that’s known for its great education. You can study things that will help your country, like government, trade, or technology.

A Background

This scholarship has been helping students since 2008. It’s all about training top people who work in important areas like trade and health. The goal is to help your country get better by using what you learn in China. You need to have a bachelor’s degree and some work experience to apply. And after you finish, you should go back home to use your new skills.

Why does it matter? With the MOFCOM Scholarship, you can focus on learning and not on bills. When you go back home, you’ll have new ideas and skills to make things better. This scholarship is a way for China to help students grow and bring good changes to their countries.

What the Scholarship Offers

The Chinese Government MOFCOM Scholarship offers a funded opportunity for prospective applicants as follows:

  • The following expenses are not charged to students: tuition, instructional materials, research and survey fees, dissertation guidance fees, allowances for programs taught in English;
    • free housing on campus;
    • The monthly stipend for master’s students is 36,000 RMB, whereas for PhD students, it is 42,000 RMB annually.
    • Relocation costs: 3000 RMB for each individual, one-time
    • foreign students receive free health insurance;
  • All students will receive a one-time, round-trip international airfare (to/from their home country upon graduation and their first flight to China upon enrollment), up to a maximum of “n-1” (where “n” represents the length of the school year, which is determined at the time of enrollment; “n” is less than or equal to three). Airfare from abroad for a round-trip journey home (once a year, at the conclusion of an academic term).
  • All students are required to complete the yearly review. In the following year, those who pass the review might still be eligible for full scholarships.
