What the Scholarship Offers

The One Young World Kokoro Scholarship offers a funded opportunity for prospective applicants as follows:

  • Complete delegate access to the September 18–21, 2024, Montréal/Tiohtià:ke, Canada, One Young World Summit.
  • Give people access to the September 17 One Young World Indigenous Day event.
  • Lodging in a hotel in Montréal from September 16 to September 21 (included). 
  • Foodservice throughout the whole occasion.
  • Return flight ticket.
  • Admission to the One Young World Ambassador Community on a permanent basis. 
  • Additionally, a select group of academics will be asked to become “Fellow Activators” inside Kokoro’s network. As Kokoro ambassadors, Fellow Activators are a varied set of voices at the forefront of mental health. Kokoro strives to support and encourage its fellow activists at various activities held all year long, whenever feasible.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the opportunity, applicants have to meet certain requirements as listed below:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 30 on the One Young World Summit date of 2024.
  • Belong to the United States or Canada. 
  • Declare oneself to be an Indigenous person. 
  • Take an active part in leading a program or organization that aims to improve Indigenous peoples’ mental health.

Application Procedure

Follow the process below on how to apply for the One Young World Kokoro Scholarship for the 2024/25 academic session: 

  • Students should first submit an application to a Bocconi University graduate program.
  • Based on your application details and academic history, applicants are immediately evaluated for scholarships upon acceptance.
  • Further ratification will be carried out after due consultation and evaluation of your credentials, and you will be contacted if successful.
