What the Scholarship Offers

The Banting Postdoctoral Research offers a funded opportunity for prospective applicants as follows:

• Funding of up to $70,000 annually is available for a maximum of two years under the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the opportunity, applicants have to meet certain requirements as listed below:

• Be a domestic, foreign, or permanent resident applicant.
• Meet or have met all requirements for a PhD, PhD-equivalent, or health professional degree before the commencement date of their award and between September 15, 2021 and September 30, 2025 (inclusive).
• If, at the time of application, an applicant has not completed all prerequisites for their degree, they must provide documentation by October 15, 2025.
• The qualifying window pertains to the most recent degree earned by candidates who have earned more than one PhD, PhD-equivalent, or health professional degree.

• Verify whether you qualify for the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships program. Get in touch with supervisors or authorities you believe will be a good fit for you and your research. Inquire as to whether the desired institution is able to host a Banting postdoctoral researcher. The host institution must send you two documents that you will need to upload to ResearchNet as part of their completed application submission.
