The scholarship applications for the school’s 2023 academic year are now open, with students able to apply for grants to study both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the school.

Eligible Nationalities

The scholarships are open to students of all nationalities, bar none.

Eligibility Criteria

While the International Merit Scholarship takes in all students, it is worth it that there are criteria to be fulfilled. These include:

• Students will need a valid, unconditional, and current offer of placement for a full-time degree or program at the LSBU. The program should start either at September 2022 or January 2023 for the current academic year.
• The academic program will need to run for a minimum of one year, and it should be taught at the LSBU
• Students will need to be classified as Overseas Students for the purpose of fee processing.
• Students should have achieved the academic prerequisites to be qualified for entry, according to the appendix available here.

It is worth noting that meeting these criteria is not an automatic assurance of entry. Applicants will be vetted by a screening committee, which will make the final decision on who gets accepted for the scholarship.

Course Entry Requirements

Each course taught at the LSBU has its specific entry requirements, which are listed on the school website. You can use the Course Finder tool to get full course information before beginning your application.

However, note that you will need to have at least five GCSE passes with a grade C or above to study any course at the school. These courses should include Math and English Language. The LSBU also accepts Functional Skills Level 2 Maths and English as an alternative to the GCSE.
