What the Scholarship Offers

  • A 12-month contract that can be extended to a 3-year term in order to finish the doctoral thesis.
  • A competitive wage, in line with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities, determined by a full-time work contract and ranging from €2,770 to €3,539 gross per month.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the opportunity, applicants have to meet certain requirements as listed below:

  • All nationalities are eligible.
  • Acceptable Subject or Course: The scholarship will be given in any course that Leiden University offers.
  • Acceptable Standards: To qualify, candidates need to fulfill the necessary requirements:
    • Possess a master’s degree in (research) psychology, data science, statistics, or information sciences (finished or to be granted before the start date).
    • Show that you have expertise with the R software environment for statistical analysis and data visualization.
    • Have a desire to share information, be open to acquiring new abilities, and have a collaborative approach.
    • Display a keen eye for detail and effective communication abilities.
    • Give proof that you are capable of carrying out excellent research and producing texts that are scientific.
    • Possess strong English communication abilities both in writing and speaking.
    • Demonstrate your capacity to work both independently and cooperatively in a research group.
    • Knowledge of Open Science and ethical research methods, as well as a readiness to use them.
