Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the opportunity, applicants have to meet certain requirements as listed below:

• Candidates must have been admitted to one of the following master’s programs: Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH), Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), School of Law, School of Education, or School of Nursing, starting with the academic year for which they are applying for the Heinz Fellowship.
• Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Candidates need to be fluent in writing, speaking, and reading English.
• Candidates who are just starting out or in the middle of their careers will be given preference.
• Must be from a developing country 
• Those working in the practitioner and policy areas are the target audience for the fellowship. Basic academic research, academic sabbaticals, and medical research are not eligible for this prize.
