As a recipient, you’ll receive 100% tuition remission for any single diploma, undergraduate, or postgraduate degree, excluding certain programs. You’ll also be part of the Bond University Rugby Club, playing in Queensland’s top competition, and receive a living allowance totaling $20,000 during your course.

A Background

To apply, you must demonstrate strong leadership skills and community involvement, and have experience playing rugby at a high level. The application process includes submitting a summary of achievements, a sporting resume, and letters of reference. A personal statement outlining your leadership capabilities and attributes is also required.

What the Scholarship Offers

The John Eales Rugby Excellence Scholarship at Bond University, Australia 2024-25 offers a funded opportunity for prospective applicants as follows:

• You will receive 100% tuition reimbursement as a John Eales Rugby Excellence Scholar toward any one diploma program at the undergraduate or graduate levels, beginning in the January semester of the following year. During the course of your degree, you will also play rugby with the Bond University Rugby Club, competing in the top league in Queensland.
• Furthermore, you will be awarded a living stipend of $20,000 throughout your enrollment as a John Eales Rugby Excellence Scholar..

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the opportunity, applicants have to meet certain requirements as listed below:

• Possess the right to represent Australian Rugby as an Australian resident.
• Fulfill the academic prerequisites of the program of your choice.
• Possess elite rugby playing experience
• Possess great leadership qualities and engage in the community. 

Application Procedure

Follow the process below on how to apply for the John Eales Rugby Excellence Scholarship at Bond University academic session: 

• Fill out the Bond University Study Application Form in order to submit an application for the program of your choice. Find out more information about this procedure.
• Fill out the application for the Bond University Scholarship. Just put “scholarship” in the keyword field on the Start an Application tab using the same log-in credentials that you used for your study application.
• Since no late scholarship applications will be accepted, you must finish and submit your application before the deadline.
