MPower Financing Women in STEM Scholarship For International Students, Canada 2024-25

MPOWER Financing has a special scholarship for women in STEM fields. It’s for international students who want to study in the USA or Canada. The scholarship helps cover the costs of studying and is open to students in science, technology, engineering, and math.

What the Scholarship Offers

The MPower Financing  Women in STEM Scholarship For International Students offers a funded opportunity for prospective applicants as follows:

• Grand Prize: US$6,000
• Runner-Up: US$2,000
• Honorable Mention: US$1,000.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the opportunity, applicants have to meet certain requirements as listed below:

• Be admitted to or enrolled in a full-time degree program at one of the American or Canadian universities supported by MPOWER, and
• Having the legal right to study in the United States or Canada, as the case may be, as an international student
• This indicates that the candidate satisfies one of the requirements for study in the United States:
• Has a valid visa that allows them to study in the United States.
• Benefits from Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) protections.
• Has a green card and resides in the United States permanently.
• This indicates that the candidate satisfies one of the requirements to study in Canada:
• is a permanent resident of Canada
• holds a current research permission from Canada

NOTE: This award was particularly designed for DACA and foreign students. Consequently, this scholarship is not available to nationals of the United States who seek to study there or to citizens of Canada who intend to study there.

NOTE: Only applicants with STEM degrees are eligible.
